May is National Foster Care Month

Foster Care Month is a national effort to raise awareness of children & youth in foster care. It is also an opportunity to acknowledge the gracious individuals and families that do their part to make foster care better.  Foster care month originated in 1988 when George Bush Sr. issued a presidential proclamation designating May as National Foster Care Month. In May, wear your blue ribbons in support of this important effort.

Our Children's Keeper Child & Family Services is a program of MU'EED Inc., a non profit public benefit corporation. We are a  proud partner in  California's Child Welfare System.  Our organization has two primary focuses: keeping children safe and family preservation.

We provide services to families and children in Sacramento and surrounding counties.  Our services include a group of child centered programs geared towards empowering and protecting children and strengthening families.  Our programs range from prevention and empowerment to intervention and treatment. On the prevention side, we offer fun-filled gender-specific programs and Day Camps designed to empower youth to embrace life and their uniqueness.  On the intervention side, we provide two different types of foster care programs:  Therapeutic Foster Care & Intensive Treatment Foster Care (ITFC). We also have mentoring programs for foster youth and their birth parents.

Our Children's Keeper Child & Family Services subscribes to  the “it takes a village” philosophy. Our agency relies on community involvement and community support in order to best serve our clients. Specifically, Foster Parents, community resources, and volunteers are key components to our service delivery. We invite you to join our village of "keepers".
